Keep in mind that jewelers of the 1800s and early 1900s, cast, worked and engraved mostly by hand. There was no drafting / design software or robotic assembly lines in those days. Nor was there large foreign factories mass producing jewelry like most of today's jewelry is made.

A Marvelous Treat for the Ladies 14k Solid Yellow Gold Wrist Watch with the Best Enamel Work I've Seen

Vintage early 1930's by Movado, this is a gorgeous piece of art. The closed hinged lugs on this piece is meant for you favorite silk material to tie around the wrist. The movement is surprisingly high grade for it's size and is a Movado in house movement manual wind with 15 jewels and 4 adjustments. Gold set jewels and a nicely decorated and very well finished movement rounds the piece out to be one of the best examples of this type of watch. The case is also hinged for easy access for servicing. The watch was recently serviced and is running within 30 seconds a day - not bad at all. This sale is for the watch only; there are so many colors in the watch, the buyer really should be the person to pick out some silk material at the local fabric shop. The watch measures 1 5/8" high x 5/8" wide. It is in great vintage condition with no major dents, scratches or wear noted. Properly hallmarked and all original, ready to wear or collect.

A stunning Victorian Era .925 sterling locket and chain in excellent condition. A large, particularly heavy oval locket with beautiful bows, scrolls and flowers is suspended from a chain measuring 23.5 inches. It is very rare to find a locket of this size with a chain of this length still together, unaltered, from this time period. The chain has alternating rings and rectangular engraved links, is original to the piece and is highly detailed. The locket opens and closes smoothly and has one frame inside. Locket measures 49 mm high excluding the bale x 37 mm wide. Locket and chain weigh 108 grams total.

A very unusual piece from the 1800s. This square locket is larger than most from the era and measures about 1 inch square and weighs approximately 12 grams. What is most unique about this locket is the mythological dragon applied on the obverse in solid platinum. The dragon is holding a .15ct old european cut diamond in its mouth. The diamond is an excellent quality of VS G. I would love to know the stories behind this locket; surely it is one-of-a-kind and belonged to someone with means and eccentric taste. This is a beautiful scarf holder from the 1920s with white, yellow and pink gold; a large square genuine garnet; 4 small genuine rubies; 4 small genuine diamonds all hand made all hand made almost 100 years ago. I estimate that it's about 18mm in diameter and it's fairly heavy for its size. Since women don't really use scarf holders anymore; although I wouldn't hold it against you, this would make a perfect high-end charm for almost any color necklace; and no one else will ever have another just like this one - too bad for them.
