Vintage 1920 Waltham Wrist Watch Stunning all Original Art Deco Tonneau Case
This early Waltham would have been part of some of the first men's wrist watches made. The serial number dates it between 1919-1920. The watch runs strong and has just been serviced April 2018. The original silver dial has some age marks which is to be expected. The hands maintain all their lume (they to not light up anymore); the lume numerals showing some slight loss of lume. The case engravings make the watch very handsome along with the classic tonneau case. This watch features a 15 jewel American made Waltham movement. Someone had placed additional solder on the inside edges on the case back to prevent any cracking. The case is in excellent condition with the exception of a medium dent and scratch on the reverse; an area you won't really see. There are no personal engravings. The watch measures approximately 39mm from lug to lug and 30mm across not including the crown. The case is the Illinois Elgin Tivoli case 3/0. Overall, this is an excellent original example of this early Waltham wrist watch and a prize for a collection, personal purchase or gift. Thank you.
