AdamVintage is honored to present this chronometer grade 21 jewel pocket watch from Rockford which was considered by many collectors as the best American manufacturer.  The pocket watch we are looking at has a perfect porcelain dial with no flaws noted.  The watch features gold set screwed in jewels, micro adjustments, gold center wheel, stem set and some of the finest American finishing I've ever seen.  The circular Geneva stripes are fantastic and extremely well done.  I believe this is the only watch I've seen with this type of decoration.  The watch is a sterling silver two tone case.  The three piece case has a sterling bezel, gold plated sterling center and sterling case-back with gold inlay decor and it appears to have a small personal engraving on the shield design; which I've said in the past, is now preferred by collector to the the flooding of fake cases hitting the market none of which have personal engravings; this case could not be replicated today anyhow - it would cost a small fortune.  There is little wear on the case.  Now, let's discuss this watch again.  The grade 645 is super rare because it was very expensive to produce I imagine.  There were only 3,000 made, which means, with about only 20-30% survival rates on pocket watches due to scraping - you may never see this piece again.  Certainly not in this case.  Everything on the watch appears original, including the crown, bail and crystal...and I believe I already mentioned a perfect dial.  Recently serviced and in excellent working condition keeping great time.  This is a great find, it should sell quickly.
