The Waltham Royal was made as an open face dress and utility pocket watch of high grade and extremely low production - these are very hard to find.  The porcelain dial and steel blued hands appear perfect with no flaws noted.  The gold filled case is in great condition with some wear and superficial scratches noted; however, no brassing no personal engravings.  The movement is very special, only 23,000 produced in an era when movement productions were in the 200k+ range for many movements.  This is considered extremely low production and hard to find.  The watch features high-end gold set screwed in jewels on the plates with a total of 17 jewels.  The watch is marked as adjusted (likely 3) and boasts a Breguet hairspring.  The watch is in the shop now for a full service, so you'll have a newly serviced watch that is capable and will likely keep close to modern chronometer specifications.  Overall, this is a great piece at a budget friendly price.
