This is on the top of the list of great railroad pocket watches we've procured and curated. This size 16s Hamilton 992 has a fantastic clean movement just serviced and keeping time almost to modern chronometer specs. The case is very nice and more unusual due to it's signed crown and protective cross bar. As with all railroad watches, this is a lever set watch. The dial is flawless with no notable problems under close inspection. The crystal is original and in great shape. This piece certainly was in service as a railroad watch probably for many years due to the tell tail sign of the reverse having some brassing around the edges. I think it gives the watch some character, plus in person it's no where near as pronounced than in the photo. The caliber 992 is a 21 jewel very nicely decorated and fished movement; super Geneva Stripes! It's a high-end movement with gold set and screwed in jewels, micro adjustment and gold center wheel. There are no personal engravings on this watch. Overall, a terrific piece to wear or add to an important collection.
