SOLD - Vintage 1960's Rare British Crown Colony Longines 5500-528 Incredible Case and Dial
Wow. This is a very special watch. First off, it is tough to find a British Crown Colony Longines case with its original signed bracelet and crown. This watch is in near mint condition with very little to no stretch to the bracelet which retains all its links. The case shape is unusual and has fantastic brushed and polished surfaces with nice sharp detail. The manual wind 17 jewel caliber 528 was serviced April 2018 and keeping time to near chronometer specs. Now, let's talk about the original dial, the most significant element of this Longines. The black semi-gloss dial with stunning bright red chapter ring and hand inlay make this watch one of the most attractive Longines I've ever seen. In addition, the case is a perfect masculine size & shape with a thin profile that sits comfortable on the wrist. Of course, in today's era, this may also be an exciting ladies watch. Either way, this watch will demand attention and is a great conversation piece. This is one of those watches you may never see again - very scarce. We expect this to sell fast, and if for some reason it does not, I will be placing it in my private collection. Thank you.
