This is a very nice example of the Illinois Guardsman. This is a cult piece in the deco collectors world and overall just a really special piece. They are very tough to find on the market in any condition. Our example is in good condition. The 14k white gold filled case shows little wear, preferred engraved lugs, original dial, constant running window seconds. This piece is engraved on the back, as a curator, I like this because it establishes possible provenance but even if it doesn't, it helps establish authenticity. I'm not sure if the crown is original, its in good condition and it appears original. As you should see in the pictures, the original hands have lost all their lume material. Very common on these. We decided to keep it original and not lume them.
