This Elgin Official Issue Military watch A-17A with 16 jewels is a tough piece to find.  The watch is in excellent condition and all original.  Presenting as very well preserved, this dial is near perfect and has barely any patina.  The A-17A was a popular watch, but many are found made by Bulova, who handled the bulk of the orders; the Elgin model is hard to find, especially in the 16 jewel configuration.  Take a look at the movement, very clean.  The watch has been serviced, keeping good time and the watch sets and hacks as it should.  As seen in the photos, the watch still has its dust cover which is often missing.  This is a really good piece to pick up for a collection, to wear or as an investment, as the price trends are going up.  The watch is presented on a new medium brown military style genuine leather two piece strap with buckle.  Ready to wear!
