Once in a while I run across a railroad grade pocket watch that just blows my mind.  The Elgin grade 571 did just that.  Freshly serviced it is keeping time better than modern chronometer standards.  Take a look at the movement, no that's not a typo, 9 adjustments!  In my opinion, this 21 jewel movement by Elgin is one of the highest grade railroad pocket watches made.  This watch features a flawless porcelain montgomery dial, lever set, 21 jewels, 9 adjustments, Geneva Stripes, 10k yellow gold filled case, micro-adjustment, and no personal engravings.  Furthermore, the watch is all original and has not been touched except for service.  Overall, my opinion of this model is very high.  I consider it in line with some of the best and most expensive railroad grade watches made post WWII.  This is a variant "c" or some refer to is as type "III" for anyone that would like another technical detail.  This is the rarest variant.  Thank you.
