Wow, a client of mine sold me this.  When I picked it up I was like holy crap this is heavy and huge.  Honestly I don't think this could have been used in dress; but perhaps it was a utility watch.  Either way, an 8oz case is very tough to find - just google it and there are many conversation of people here and there seeing one, and other major collectors never could find one.  Very interesting, this watch is extremely valuable and rare not for its movement (which is very well done) but for its case.  Well, here you go, if you've been on the hunt here it is.  Dial is original porcelain and appears perfect.  The watch is wound by key on the movement, the top can push down on to open the case to show the dial.  The time is set by key directly on the dial (look at the center of the hands-very unusual).  This is an 18s Elgin.  The watch was originally curated by Ashland Investments.  This is considered an investment piece, there are so few and sought after that I can only see them going up.  Thank you.
