This stunning USA original official military issue watch was produced post WWII. Three verified branches of the military placed orders for this model; the Air Force, Army and Navy. The majority of these appear to have gone to the Air Force. This would make sense since the dial has a 24 hour chapter ring as well as fully functional hacking feature most useful to pilots. The dial is all original and is a pitch black with no flaws noted. The hands (original tritium lume intact) and numerals have a fantastic looking patina which all match and evenly aged. The case has its original finish and is in excellent condition with only a slight flaw noted on the case back - it appears to be a small patch of corrosion or pitting; this is not impactful on the case integrity nor value of the piece; it is a superficial flaw from use, like a scratch. Speaking of the case back, it has all the correct military information and serials numbers. The manual wind caliber 10BNCH is minty and was just overhauled Feb. 2018 keeping excellent time. This piece has its original inside dust cover as shown in the photos - these dust covers were not specs for all military wrist watches, most official issues do not have them, and the ones that are supposed to have them are often missing. The watch is presented on a lightly used black vintage high grade leather weaved strap. This strap is not a pressed weave, it is actually weaved which is hard to find. Overall, this is an excellent example of this model and of any official issue military watch. The piece is collector and investment grade. Thank you.
