Vintage 1920's American Bulova Men's Art Deco Tank in 14k White Gold Filled Exquisit Dial
The Art Deco period, was not only the dawn of the Men's wrist watch, but also gave us some of the nicest antique examples. This watch is from the late 1920's, appears to be an original dial with intact early lume arabic numerals, very dreamy patina on hands with fully intact original lume. Classic style with small sub seconds and extensive craftsmanship and attention to detail on the engraving work. The movement is a manual wind 13AF in house movement and one of the first innovations in movement development that fit tank style watches. Furthermore, it's a nice high grade movement with 15 jewels and 4 adjustments. This watch features a solid white gold filled case back as well as a protective plastic crystal on top of the movement - all original. The size of the watch is approximately 24mm in width and 36mm from lug end to lug end; a classic size for men during the era. Although many men wear larger watches these days, this watch is still perfectly suitable for a man and it's also been a growing trend for women to wear pieces such as these. Just serviced and ready to wear or collect; these deco pieces still in very good condition like this one, are getting tougher to find. Presented on a new black genuine leather strap with buckle.
