There's no question that Hamilton was the Patek Philippe of the USA.  Hamilton made the largest contributions to US innovation in horology and produced most of the finest US calibers.  This is why we see pieces like this.  A stunning example of an American Made Pocket Watch from the roaring twenties, when economic prosperity in the US was at an all time high.  Perhaps that is why we see beautiful, mostly handmade and assembled watches at a time when watchmakers took their time and made the product with pride.  This Hamilton caliber 974 pocket watch has a near perfect white porcelain dial with no cracks or hairlines noded.  The dial is also a Montgomery dial which is often referenced to due to the red numeral seconds chapter ring.  As you can see, the movement is in perfect condition.  It's very well done with nice engraving, polishing, finish and gold & screwed set jewels.  Technically, the watch is high grade, being an adjusted movement with precision regulation.  The watch has been serviced, keeps excellent time and is budget friendly, making it a great special occasion gift or addition to your collection...or even the start of a collection.
