This Howard is one of the highest grade chronometers of the period. It was expensive at the time; but was regarded as the best American chronometers in the military, railroad and engineering fields among other. The watch has 21 jewels and is a size 16s lever set movement. The white porcelain montgomery dial shows no signs of hairlines or cracks. The watch is near mint, operates perfectly and comes with its original box and papers with matching serial numbers which is very hard to find, considering it's 100 years old.
