This is a stunning and rare Men's modern design from the 1950's. Hobnail case work has been used by some of the most prestigious houses like Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Breguet to name a few. But JLC didn't stop at the bezel on this fascinating piece. Take a look at the very difficult to make dial work on this watch. The photos show a patina developing, however; the brightness of all the gold in real light, you cannot even notice it. It's become commonly accepted now that Jaeger-LeCoultre, having made many of the era's significant movements for the top houses, is in its own right to stake claim as a serious; perhaps the most innovative manufacturers. This watch houses the in-house JLC K818 / 1CW. A staple manual wound 17j movement for their dress collection proven to not only be thin, but very accurate and sturdy. This is a real special piece that isn't found often. It is in all original condition including its JL signed crown and original dial and case finish. Recently serviced and keeping great time. Thank you.
