This is a beautiful original example of this fascinating official military watch. The pitch black dial with perfectly even patina on the indices is incredible looking. The original dial features both a 12-hour and 24-hour chapter ring painted in a luminous material. The case has its original finish, and as you can tell by the pictures, this was an in-service piece based on some stubborn but easily removable stains on the reverse of the lugs; a classic tell-tale sign of use. Notice the large crown, typical of the military requirements of this era and this watch features a hacking second hand. It is our opinion that the watch also has its original spring bars and strap, all in excellent vintage condition. As always with these watches, the case measures 32mm in diameter without including the big crown. This is an excellent piece to add or begin a military collection or just wear for the cool factor.
