Originally designed by Gerald Genta for the first trans-Atlantic flight over the North Pole, the Polerouter is a fantastic Universal Genève with historical relevance and one of the only Genta designs that can still be had at an affordable price - and they are getting more and more scarce every day. In fact, the Polerouter was arguably one of the first well known and successful Genta designs as he took is to task at the early age of 24. Powered by the famous micro-router in-house developed 218-2 with a whopping 28 jewels. Universal Genève developed the automatic Polerouter to be more resistant to the strong magnetic fields at the North and South poles. In fact, the flight route is engraved on the case back. The watch features a gold capped bezel over stainless steel backing and screw-down stainless case-back. A stunning gold inside chapter ring adorns an even more impressive silver dial. The watch is completely original except for a new genuine leather vented brown replacement strap. Serviced and keeping great time with all functions working properly. The diameter not including the original signed crown is 34mm. Thank you.
