This is an excellent original example of a hard to find American Elgin wrist watch. These peacetime watches with dial military specifications were marketed to military personnel. This particular white gold filled, stunningly engraved case, was more expensive and usually purchased by a higher level military officer. The movement is high-grade, adjusted, services and running within 8 sec/day. The dial is all original; given its age, it is in excellent condition. This is a great American piece that is very tough to find.
