This Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox (just "LeCoultre" for watches made for the US market) is an exemplary piece of originality, function and fine watchmaking. Vintage 1956, most Memovox watches you will find have had restoration work or replacement parts through the years. This particular piece is 100% original. Specifically, the dial, indices and hands are untouched and original. The unsigned crowns are original to the watch. The stainless steel case it unpolished and retains some of it's original factory finish. The Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 814 manual wind movement has been well maintained and appears completely original. The crystal of the watch appears original and is clean of any major scratches or scuffs.
This Memovox has one of the nicest dials I've seen. I am partial to any combination of white blue and silver - and this dial is a dream to look at. The hands and indices still retain most of it's original luminous applied material as shown in the photos.
Overall, this Memovox is a beautiful example of well cared for and well preserved fine watchmaking from the 1950's. With it's unique silver, white and blue dial and original stainless steel case - this Memovox is extremely desirable and ready for your eyes and wrist to enjoy. This watch comes on a new black leather strap with lizard grain and measures 34MM without including the crowns.
