The Lemania Military Style Watch was a very nice choice for military personnel usually of higher rank. This is a civilian issue military watch and I think it's important for people to know the difference and why. Official Issue Military watches are watches that were ordered by a government and usually have inscriptions as such; in the USA, all watches were the property of the government and were to be turned in after use. Although many leaked out, it was common for military personnel to want their own watch. This wasn't a watch that was bought by Dad on his way to sell insurance. Although, many of these watches were considered a utility watch and were also popular with people working in engineering and such. This Lemania is a fairly rare example with an original black dial with red center sweep seconds and red accents. There are some small light spots on the dial probably from sun exposure, however, they are not distracting or easily go unnoticed. Most were done in silver/white. The Ref 192H went through a few changes as the model matured. This is the preferred engraved back model - the movement stayed the same because it is so solid. If you don't know the much about Lemania, I beg you to read about the company's history. Lemania played an extremely important role in the development of the modern mechanical watch. This watch is 32mm without the crown and about 35mm with. Its low profile 10mm case gives the appearance of a 34mm watch in my opinion. Nevertheless, this was the most desired size during this era and is still suitable for Men, and now Women are really getting into these as well. The watch comes on a new vintage style khaki canvas two piece strap. Serviced during intake and ready to wear.
