SOLD - Vintage 1950s Girard-Perregaux Pilot's Chronograph Excelsior Park Column Wheel Movement
This is a very rare XL 38MM GP Pilot's chronograph with one of the most legendary movements, the Excelsior Park Caliber 4 produced in partnership with Gallet. The watch is in excellent vintage condition with an original dial, crown, pushers, case, and case back, and signed movement. The watch comes on a medium brown genuine alligator strap. This is a very rare piece I'd like to stress. Just overhauled and working perfectly and keeping time to chronometer specs. Please note the are two small scratches and two small dents in the case back. We also believe, although the dial is original, that the lume was professionally redone many years ago - probably as part of a routine service. Just like in today's world of watches, when you sent a watch into service, it was common to service not just the movement, but also any other functional deficiencies like the numerals / lume.
