This Bucherer wristwatch has a classic 1970s look with a satin finished silvered dial and stick indices. The ETA calibre 2620 movement was highly finished to achieve chronometer rated standards at the original time of sale.
Bucherer, one of the world’s foremost retailers of luxury watches was founded in 1888. The firm has enjoyed a long and especially close relationship with Rolex. Ernst Bucherer, the son of the company’s founder, formed a partnership with Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, in 1924. Today, Bucherer remains one of Rolex’s most important retailers and offers a range of other luxury brands including Audemars Piguet, Breguet and A. Lange & Söhne. In addition to retailing other brands, Bucherer have traditionally produced a range of high-quality watches, marketed under their own name.
ETA calibre 2620 automatic movement, lever escapement, 25 jewels, mono-metallic balance, 21,600 BPH, shock absorber, the rotor engraved for chronometer adjustments: ‘adjusted to 5 positions and temperature silvered satin finished dial, raised stick indices with luminescent dots above and gold luminous sword hands. Centre seconds, gold filled unishell 34mm case with detachable smooth chamfered bezel, the case back centered with decoratively engraved Bucherer crest and founding year. Just serviced and presented on a new genuine leather strap. Some wear marks on the reverse of the case as shown in pictures.
