Rare Vintage 1930's Glycine Tank Watch with Tough to Find Coral Dial
Here is a very rare 1930's art deco vintage Glycine rectangular tank watch in a hooded stepped lug case and coral dial with enamel roman numerals and markers. This watch measures approximately 23mm in width (minus the crown) x 40mm from lug end to lug end. There are very light scratches on this case and some patina visible on the dial as seen in the photos. The heart of the his watch is an unadjusted Glycine Watch Co. Swiss Model 06 movement with 17 jewels that runs strong and kept good time over a 24 hour period. Very high-end movement for the period. The inside back case reads: Schmitz Swiss, Staybrite Steel, 2008. Staybrite cases are much harder to find and is essentially a stainless steel alloy. Comes on a vintage black leather strap.
