Scarce Tavannes 1930s Art Deco Manual Wind Stainless Steel Case Very Rare | Vintage Watches
Although not heard often today, Tavannes was a major Swiss watch company starting in mid-1800's. Actually, the brand still produces watches today; but they are not the same company, only another watch co that purchased the rights. Tavannes was known for making military watches both during WWI and WWII along with more expensive observatory watches. As far as I know, all there movements were designed and produced in-house. This piece is a rare and awesome example from the 1930's in a really cool art deco design. They are very hard to come by and in high demand by deco collectors. All original including the dial that has never been redone. Presented on a new black leather strap with buckle and just serviced and running well and was recently serviced.
