Hamilton 21J 992B 16s RAILWAY SPECIAL, 6 Pos. Adj. Railroad Pocket Watch, Ca.1965 Model 15
This late model Hamilton 992B Railroad Grade and approved pocket watch is quite rare due to it's production year. There were very few made past the 1960s as the rails moved to electronic and computerized timekeeping. The 992B is one of the most sought after movements due to its precision, jewel count, adjustments (6) and finishing (high standards). The model 15 came in three varieties; double sunk dial, single sunk dial and numeral dial. This piece is numeral dial with no sunk - very unusual! It is documented in the Hamilton catalog but rarely seen. This piece is near mint and was just overhauled keeping excellent time. There are no major or minor flaws noted. The watch and all its components are original - and it is verified that the larger seconds on the dial came with this (no sunk) variation of the model 15; again rarely seen especially such a late production. This will go fast once found.
