SOLD - Longines Wittnauer Pilot's Chronograph Vintage 1940s WWII Era | Vintage Chronograph Watch
This is a rare Longines Wittnauer Pilot's two register chronograph from WWII. This particular model is a Longines product marketed under Wittnauer under their joint marketing relationship in the US during this time. A rarer and much more expensive model for the era, it is executed in stainless steel and a high end column wheel manual wind chronograph base caliber Venus 150; while most others used a much cheaper movement and a base metal case. The watch comes with it's original box (no papers) and has recently been overhauled and is working properly, resets to zero and keeps time on average 5 positions +10sec per day. This watch comes on a black lizard vintage strap as it was found. The silver dial is original and in great shape with an appealing layout and color scheme. The crystal has been replaced and is clean of any major flaws. The case is in excellent condition and measures approximately 33mm in diameter without including the crown. The crown and pushers appear original to the watch. This would make an excellent addition to a vintage chronograph collection and is ready to wear and enjoy. The best part is we were able to acquire the piece at a reasonable price and we are passing those savings on to the buyer. This one certainly won't last long.
