SOLD - Hamilton Otis (Reverso) Grade 980 Vintage 1939 - Silver Dial
This Otis may be sold; however, we have two others in stock. Use the search icon at the top of the home page. Thank You.
Very rare Hamilton Otis with early caliber 982 which was the caliber used in the second run of production from 1939-1940. This example is in near mint condition with no visible brassing. The Hamilton Otis is perhaps the most storied American Made vintage wrist watch. Fashioned after the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, there are a few different accounts of how Hamilton procured the design for the Otis; but one thing is clear, after a patent ruling in approximately 1941 brought by Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Hamilton Otis was never seen again. This is one of the rarest watches out there - don't let it slip away. I've had two others for sale in the past and they sell very quickly. This Otis is of collectors / investment grade condition.
