This Gallet Shipmate is so rare you can only find a hand full of examples. It comes complete with its original case back and dust cover and is executed using a Gallet in-house 15 jeweled manual wind movement. There is an inscription on the case back that reads "Davis vB Mitchell 2 Taylor Ln Harrison NY". The watch measures 28mm in diameter and 35mm lug to lug; normal for a WW2 military watch. The dial is original and has never been touched up and has great looking even patina. The Shipmate comes on a new old stock period leather strap in grey/green color. This is one of those pieces that you may never see again.
