Stunning high-end professional chronograph from the late 1960s or early 1970s by Girard-Perregaux using a caliber Valjoux 72. GPs are difficult to date due to little records regarding serials numbers; however, upon inspection of the movement, dial signed crown and case - this is definitely a later model. This watch has an awesome original silver dial, original case finish, crowns and pushers, and is in really fantastic condition. The Valjoux 72 was the without question the highest grade chronograph of this era and was used by Rolex in their first iteration of the Daytona (as well as Rolex Chronographs before the Daytona), Patek Philip Chronographs, Jaeger-Lecoultre and of coarse Girard-Perregaux. This watch is running on average of 5 positions +10sec/day and has been recently overhauled.
This manual wind chronograph measures 35MM across not including the crown or pushers and comes on a new dark brown leather strap.
