SOLD - Vintage 1960s Elgin M-135 Dive Watch Automatic cal. PUW 1463 - VERY RARE
If you looking for a rare vintage dive watch but can't afford to break the bank, this is it. In the 1960s, Elgin developed their version of the diver's watch utilizing the highly regarded PUW 1463 automatic movement made by PUW of Germany. The M-135 has a solid stainless steel case and very well done black bakelite bi-directional rotating 60 scale bezel. This watch is all original including the original near mint finish of the case, original crystal (with some scratches) and most important the original dial and hands. The red color of the seconds hand and month/date make this watch really stand out. We've added a new dark brown Hadley-Rome heavy padded strap with white contrast stitching. The strap looks stunning combined with the matte black dial of this watch. This is a rare watch and we were only able to find one comparable sale with an asking price of $1295. Well, since it's hard to determine market value on this piece, we are selling based on what we paid for it - so this is likely a great deal on a hard to find watch. It's working well and ready to wear or collect.
