With its original sterling silver case, original near mint porcelain dial and extremely high grade manual wind movement, this WW1 military watch is one of the best examples we've ever seen. Measuring at 32MM across and 35MM lug to lug, this is of larger size than usual for this period.
Executed in a classic military sterling silver cushion case and on a new black leather strap with contract stitching, this vintage military watch is an awesome casual accessory rich in history and appeal. This is definitely a British piece. It fits their specification on military watches from this period and only in the British Military did you see dials such as this combined with high grade movements; likely an officer's piece. US Military watches, although perfectly fine, were not required to have sterling silver case and usually didn't) and the movements were American movements that were very simple in design.
