This pocket watch is an extremely fine chronometer grade ultra-thin Hass Neveux & Cie. vintage 1918 solid 18k yellow gold custom ordered pocket watch. As seen in the pictures, this was given by what is presumed to be two daughters, Julia and Imogene to their "Dad" on Christmas 1918. This was a most expensive gift made by one of the finest pocket watch and movement makers of the time and would only be available, especially at this level of customization, to only the wealthiest of people. In fact, the dial alone, a hand-made work of art, would have taken months to create with this lettering and guilloché work. Furthermore, the movement is extremely fine and thin; likely the thinnest movement of that time. The total thickness of the watch including movement, case, crystal and case-back is only about 6MM. The movement is an estimated 1.5mm thick; as a full bridge movement, this is extremely difficult to produce.

In house nickel-finished lever movement, 18 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, silvered matte guilloché dial, outer polished chapter ring with custom lettering, outer calibrated minute track, engraved circular case, back cover with engraved sunburst motif enhanced with floral and swags, surrounded by a blue enamel border, front with blue enamel border, both bezel and back rim with leaf motif, sapphire-set crown, case and movement signed by maker, dial is unsigned. 45mm diam. Loop on opposite side of crown. What I'm asking for it is a steal and I have no negotiating room for this one - just as an fyi.
