From the late 1800s, these are very rare and very fine hand carved solid 10k gold cufflinks. I believe the material used for the carvings is carnelian, a semi-precious gem stone. The woman depicted in the carving remind me of lady liberty; either way, they are beautifully done and come in their original box. One thing is for sure, once they are sold, you'll never see another set like this!
