SOLD - Vintage 1930 Elgin Art Deco Cushion Shaped All Original Men's Wrist Watch
We absolutely love this watch. It encompases all the classic elements of the art deco design period, and it's one of Elgin's highest grade movements with 17 jewels. The cushion shaped case is splendid; the three piece case has a stunning white gold filled bezel with little wear, the center is yellow gold filled, and then we have white gold filled on the back. The sides have similar engraving work as the bezel does. The entire way the case was designed, with its colors and engraving work, is a real piece of art. As you can see in the photos, the movement is very clean and just serviced September 2018. Last but certainly not least, the dial is original, with the hands intact with their original lume. The rest of the dial is laid out in the most classic art deco style. In summary, this watch has almost no wear, no personal engravings and all original with fantastic patina. The watch measures 30mm across not including the crown and 38mm from lug to lug. That's a great size because it does not appear small like many others of the period. This watch just may be one of the nicest pieces of the art deco period we've offered for sale.
