Chicopee Mass."Chicopee is where I grew up. There are so many memories in my head, volumes of photographs in my mind. Some of my favorite memories involve going to the Rivoli Theatre (no longer there) at a time when a movie cost $2; and I think popcorn was a $1. I remember always getting snowcaps as a movie snack. Anyhow, I remember one time walking at least a mile or two, which I often did, from my house with my friend Jeremy; we were very excited to see Dances With Wolves that night at the Rivoli. Sunday mornings when I was young, I would walk from the 225 Fairview Ave to get a newspaper at the Corner Store on Front St.; but it was really to stop by to see my friend Heather, who had an abundance of video games and always great movies - the first place I watched Top Gun. Plus, I liked Heather, she was kind to me and smart. Chicopee is where I met my two closest friends that are still like brothers to me, Al and Steve. We've had so much fun through the years and hopefully more to come. We had met at Saint George School (K-8) in Chicopee Falls when I arrived in grade 4. I'll talk more about that when I cover Chicopee Falls. Chicopee is a place I will never forget and was an inspiration to start our Hometown Collection by AdamVintage" - always with original photography by founder Adam J. Dubilo.
