A solid 16kt yellow gold locket from the early 1800s. The locket is hand engraved and contains a small pearl in the center top design. The engravings are highlighted with black enamel. The entire piece is original and in excellent condition. The hinges function well and the locket snaps closed tightly.
A very unusual piece from the 1800s. This square locket is larger than most from the era and measures about 1 inch square and weighs approximately 12 grams. What is most unique about this locket is the mythological dragon applied on the obverse in solid platinum. The dragon is holding a .15ct old european cut diamond in its mouth. The diamond is an excellent quality of VS G. I would love to know the stories behind this locket; surely it is one-of-a-kind and belonged to someone with means and eccentric taste. A very rare solid 14kt yellow gold with pearls locket and chain from the Victorian Era. An extremely sought after piece, this type of original combination in gold is very tough to find and this piece is exceptionally made. The locket is of high quality and expertly crafted - the hinges are in great working order and the locket snaps together nicely. The locket is a larger size and measures approximately 1 3/8 inches in length and 1 inch wide. The chain is unique and of high craftsmanship & design as shown in the photographs. The chain measures 18 inches in length. Total weight combined is approximately 26.5 grams or nearly an ounce.
A stunning Victorian Era .925 sterling locket and chain in excellent condition. A large, particularly heavy oval locket with beautiful bows, scrolls and flowers is suspended from a chain measuring 23.5 inches. It is very rare to find a locket of this size with a chain of this length still together, unaltered, from this time period. The chain has alternating rings and rectangular engraved links, is original to the piece and is highly detailed. The locket opens and closes smoothly and has one frame inside. Locket measures 49 mm high excluding the bale x 37 mm wide. Locket and chain weigh 108 grams total.
