If you like white dials and an historic relic from WWII, you'll love this watch. The Ordnance Series of watches were usually used by the branch of the Army. Many different types of service people and soldiers were issued these watches. This appears to be an earlier version, the dial appears to be original and has some minor age marks on the dial that are not distracting when looking at this watch in real life. Out of all the American companies that produced this watch; Elgin, Hamilton, Bulova and Waltham; it seems due to market availability, that Waltham made the fewest of the bunch because they are much tougher to find. This watch uses a nice manual wind workhorse, the Waltham 6/0-B 17 jewel movement. Recently serviced and keeping good time. This Waltham Military Watch is presented on a brown leather strap. What makes this piece special is the super clean movement, nice patina on dial and hands, has its correct dusk cover (many times these are missing) and its original crown. As noted in the pictures, the case has some brassing and scratches, indicating it was actually used during the war and there is nothing excessive about the wear on the case given its age and potential service time - some of these brave men and women served most of their lives. Some (about have) that you find on the market were never issued. So there you have it, a very nice example of an inservice Waltham WWII Official Military Watch.
