WWII US WALTHAM A-17 A17 Wristwatch | Military Service Watch With Hacking Seconds
Probably used mostly in the navy or with pilots in general. This watch has a lot of great things going for it. First, it came with the original US issues packaging which is actually a very vice heavy canvas pouch. The pouch itself should be worth some good money. The dial is also flawless and I believe based on age and wear, it's the original strap as well. There is a small blemish on one side of the crystal (see photo's) but nothing to warrant a replacement of the original. Also, the original gasket or dust cover (they used either) is missing; so the movement is a tiny bit lose - but again not enough to cause alarm..it's very slight. And is would cost very little to place a gasket inside if you wanted to. The watch was overhauled recently upon inspection when we in-took the watch and is running at about +7 min per day, which is awesome for these watches. The last matchmaker to touch this watch did a great job and didn't compromise when it came to keeping it all original. This is a great opportunity to have a reissue case, watch and strap as it was issued. That's hard to come by.
