Vintage 1960s Military Waltham West Germany Made Watch - Super cool dial and all stainless steel | Vintage Watches
This is a rare Waltham military watch with an awesome original dial. I particularly like the hands. Anyhow, the entire look and every detail looks great together. After Waltham stopped producing in the US in favor to focus on another precision instruments business they had; Waltham made a deal with a West German company to use the name through a licensing agreement. The movements, such as this 17 jeweled manual wind, are German movements. There is not much known about these movements expect they are very practical in design, easy to service, extremely consistent and accurate, and known for withstanding extreme conditions. So, overall, they may not be the best looking movements, but they definitely put investment into making them hardy and precise. The watch is approximately 37mm in diameter not including the extra large original crown. There are not too many of these out there on the market; so if you like this watch I wouldn't wait long t. purchase it.
