This Bulova Monopusher Chronograph uses a single button crown to function the 60 seconds chronograph. There are scarce watches out there very seldom seen; and there are rare watches almost never seen. This watch is rare, especially in the fine original condition this piece is in. This watch also represents an important milestone for Bulova as one of their first monopusher chronographs and the smallest monopusher chronograph made at the time. Using a manufacturer Bulova caliber 10AH USA made mechanical manual wind movement with a column wheel chronograph movement. This watch is in perfect working order. It should be noted that it is not easy to find a fine mechanical chronograph made in the USA during this time period. This particular model is said to have been a model for doctors; especially those serving in the war efforts of the time as the chronograph function of this watch was especially useful to doctors. Furthermore, there were two types of dials. One with painted luminous numbers such as this one and the other more common dial with applied metallic numbers. It is thought that the model with luminous numbers (this one) was especially made for doctors in the line of duty during the war. Measuring in at 29MM across not including the original crown, and 39MM from lug to lug, this watch is very suitable for a woman but can also be worn by a man. The watch comes on a new blue Hadley-Roma crocodile embossed leather strap with gold tone buckle. Rare, historic and elegant are the three words I would use to describe this fine wartime example of complicated watchmaking.
