Stunning 1950's Hamilton Steeldon CLD Silver Dial all Stainless Steel Near NOS
The Hamilton Steeldon CLD is hands down, my favorite later model USA made Hamilton. This CLD, to be pronounced "sealed" because of its special clamshell like case that seals that watch movement. The dial came in two different variations - this one is the sterling rhodium plated dial with applied 18k white gold numerals. Wow, very nice...no expense spared making this watch. The movement is a Hamilton made in the USA 18 jewel manual wind movement - fully serviced and keeping excellent time. The case is about 31mm without the original large crown. This is an exceptional example in near factory condition; it will be tough to find another is this condition. Since many of our client now like to purchase their own strap, we've decided to leave this one bare for customization. The watch takes a 16mm strap. My favorite design element of this watch is the art deco style lugs and the line/steps on the side of the case - very classy! This watch is originally a men's watch and is now suitable for a man or a woman.
