This is an extremely rare low production version of the Vacheron Constantin Quantième from 1987. This is a stainless steel model with a solid 18k gold bezel. Vacheron quickly stopped production of this two tone model in favor for only producing it in solid yellow gold. In fact, there are none I can find of this model at this time; however, it is confirmed as a legitimate production model as noted in the article by The Hour Lounge in which they go into great detail of the lineage and pedigree of the line of calendar watches by Vacheron, sometimes called the master of the calendar watch. This is a beautiful near mint example with its original Vacheron strap and buckle, the original owner didn't even remove the gold foil signature sticker on the caseback. Everything on this watch is original, no box or papers. Measures 34mm in diameter without the crown and about 7mm thick - very thin for a complicated automatic. The cal. 1126 is a super high grade 33 jeweled highly decorated movement which employs a solid 21k gold weight on the rotor for very efficient winding. The crystal is clean and is sapphire. This watch today would cost over $20k. Buy it pre-owned, in perfect working condition at a fraction of the cost. Plus, it's rarity will only make it go up in value.
